How faint the whisper we hear of Him
A shadow of what is to come;
Sun’s pageantry in golden splendor,
The moon and stars when day is done.
From mountain springs to raging rivers
Toward oceanic ebb and flow,
Majestic crags and mighty mesas
Dip down to peaceful vales below.
Each plant and living thing has purpose
E’n though we’ve suffered from the Fall.
This grand design not of our making,
His signature present in all.
What we delight in and give craft to
A dim reflection from above
Creative thoughts give way to glory
and praise One worthy of our love.
Based on Job 26:14, speaking of the Majesty and mighty power of God in nature.
And these are but the outer fringe of his works;
how faint the whisper we hear of him!
Who then can understand the thunder of his power?
